El Feile has taken a real interest in this band since they formed because we believe them to have incredible potential. They gave a fine performance on the street last year and they have been touring almost constantly since building a very strong live act. They are one of Catalonia´s great world music potential and we are delighted to offer them the opportunity to share the Apolo stage with KíLA for what will be a dream come through for the band. They will be enjoying the moment and it will make for almost 3 hours of fantastic music for the rest of us.
The band was formed in 2005 from a group of friends who had a great passion for music. Nearly all members of the group performed in other music bands before, so they had enough experience to launch such an ambitious project. The result: a different perspective of Irish celtic music, to which the group can give a mediterranen feel.
From the beginning Qui hi ha? believed that live concerts is its best letter of introduction, because it is where they can offer an energetic live spectacle lead with their own songs fused with great versions of celtic music through a unique experimental style.
They presented their first album on December 2006 ( Qui hi ha? – selfproduced).
During 2007 they gave concerts all over Catalonia and in some Spanish regions, leading to participation in festivals such as El Féile ( Barcelona), la Fira de Música al Carrer in Vilaseca, and El Carmucu ( PRAU) festival in Cantabria, where they shared stage with Milladoiro (Galicia).
They continue to perform live regularly while working on the presentation of their second record, that will come together before summer and ready for release in Autumn 2008. The record will include newly written songs that will have been roadtested in their latest live sets to an everincreasingly receptive public.
